Effective July 22, 2026
MoodieFoodie (“MoodieFoodie,” “we,” “us”) runs a dish-level ranking site for Las Vegas. These terms cover how the site works and what we ask of you when you use it. We’ve tried to write them the way we’d actually explain the site to someone, not as boilerplate.
What MoodieFoodie is
MoodieFoodie lets you compare two dishes head-to-head and pick the one you’d rather eat again. Those picks — we call them comparisons — build public leaderboards and a “Crave Score” for every dish in the system. The leaderboards are only as good as the votes behind them, which is why the rules below exist.
Using the site anonymously or with an account
You can rank dishes without creating an account. We set a browser cookie (mf_uid) that lets your device build a ranking history anonymously. If you later create an account, that anonymous history moves with you — you don’t lose your rankings by signing up.
Accounts are optional and handled through Clerk, our authentication provider. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account.
Ranking integrity
Comparisons are the source of truth for every leaderboard on the site, so we take manipulation seriously. Vote spam, scripted or automated voting, and coordinated attempts to boost or bury a restaurant’s dishes are all prohibited. If we find fraudulent or manipulated comparisons, we may remove them and recompute the affected rankings from scratch — including yours, if your account is the source.
Rank dishes you’ve actually eaten. The comparison tool is built around personal experience, not hypothetical taste.
Content you submit
You can upload photos of dishes, suggest dish names, and report issues with a restaurant or dish listing. By submitting any of that, you grant MoodieFoodie a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, host, and use it on the site — for example, showing your dish photo on a restaurant page. You’re confirming that what you submit is yours to share and doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights.
We can remove submitted content at our discretion — most commonly for accuracy, quality, or policy reasons.
Communications
We send transactional emails related to your account and its security — these aren’t optional while you have an account, since they cover things like sign-in and account changes.
Separately, we may send marketing email, such as a monthly roundup of Las Vegas dish rankings. Marketing email only goes to people who’ve opted in, and every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing email never affects your account, your rankings, or your ability to use the site.
Businesses and sponsored content
Restaurant owners can claim their restaurant’s page; claims go through a review before they’re approved. Claiming a page does not let a business alter its dishes’ rankings or Crave Scores — those are still driven entirely by comparisons.
Sponsored placements, where they exist, are always visually labeled as sponsored. They run alongside the organic rankings, never inside them, and never change the score or position of an unpaid dish or restaurant.
Prohibited conduct
Beyond ranking manipulation, you agree not to: scrape or bulk-extract site data outside normal use; interfere with the site’s infrastructure; impersonate another person or business; upload content that’s unlawful, defamatory, or infringes someone else’s rights; or attempt to bypass the site’s rate limits or abuse controls.
Disclaimer of warranties
MoodieFoodie is provided “as is.” Rankings reflect real user comparisons, but restaurant menus, hours, and dish availability change, and we don’t guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any listing. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the site’s fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoodieFoodie won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of what you’ve paid us in the past twelve months (typically nothing, since the site is free to use) or fifty dollars.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
